The number of type codes.

The argument will be set by the function.

Return value

Type: An array of gint8

The codes for each field.

It should be freed with g_free() when no longer needed.

The length of the array is in the n_type_codes argument.
The caller of the method takes ownership of the data, and is responsible for freeing it.
